What Is ADHD Coaching?
ADHD Coaching is a collaborative partnership between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal and professional potential.
Coaching can help people with ADHD work through disorganization, inconsistency, procrastination and impulsivity in order to connect more with their goals, follow their passions and have a better quality of life – most importantly, all while understand and accepting themselves and their ADHD!
Is Coaching Therapy?
No, coaching is different than therapy. I am not a clinically trained psychologist or counsellor. I am not positioning myself as an authority over you or an expert – YOU are the expert of your life and your experience. As a coach, I am here to help you identify roadblocks and issues that are keeping you from being effective and reaching your potential, and to come up with strategies and action plans to tackle these roadblocks. I help you set goals, explore possibilities and analyse what’s not working, while bringing my extensive knowledge of how ADHD affects the brain to our coaching plan. I help you to understand how to navigate your ADHD and to work with your brain, not against it. I can’t help you work through past traumas, addiction issues or any mental illness nor can I prescribe or recommend medication or therapeutic treatments.
I have an AACC Certification (Associate ADHD Coaching Certification) through ADDCA. This means I have specialized training in working with individuals with ADHD in a coaching capacity.

What does Coaching Look Like?
If we establish a coaching partnership, we will meet on a regular basis – some clients find once or more a week is best for them, while others find they only need to meet once every few weeks or once a month. Initially, a client must agree to be coached for a minimum of three months in order to ensure that we give coaching its best shot at making a difference in your life. This coaching partnership may last for three months or go for years, depending on your needs. We will meet for 30-60 minutes depending on what we’re working on and what works best for you, either by phone or video chat. If you’re in the Lower Mainland, in-person coaching can also be arranged.
